Jouko Virtanen is a co-founder of Global Intelligence Alliance Group (GIA Group, now part of M-brain Group) back in 1995, where he first oversaw the company’s sales in Europe and participated in developing a globally scalable service and software business. Since 2004, Jouko has been living in Toronto, managing GIA’s expansion in the Americas region, including Unites States, Canada and South America.
The majority of Jouko's work has been about pioneering with a new business model in the Market Intelligence (MI) industry and successfully launching a well-recognized B2B brand among Fortune 500 companies. GIA was able to introduce an innovative business model in a fiercely competed region, combining software, services and consulting to help large companies organize their MI in novel ways. Jouko has been in the front line of creating new ways to manage market information in corporate America.
As a positive and energetic sales leader, Jouko has been successful in opening doors and developing long term business relationships with some of the largest and most respected corporations in their fields in the world. He is widely appreciated as a fun and easy-going person to work with, yet he is also known for his uncompromising attention to customer satisfaction and creating value for money.
In June 2015, Jouko moved back in Helsinki, Finland, and is currently actively helping ambitious growth companies rapidly expand their sales and establish new business overseas.
During his free time, Jouko runs regularly and focuses on his family’s transition from North America to Finland.
